How is the AKRUM Vault different from Google Drive or Dropbox?

Drive and Dropbox can read your files on their servers. AKRUM Vault encrypts every document client-side with per-document keys before upload, so we store only ciphertext. You still get one-click sharing, but the underlying storage is zero-trust by default.
What does "zero-knowledge" mean for my stored documents?

Zero-knowledge means AKRUM holds no usable copy of your decryption keys. Documents are encrypted in your browser, and our servers see only opaque ciphertext. Even with full database access, no one at AKRUM can read your stored contracts or decks.
Can I control who sees a shared link and for how long?

Yes. Secure share links are time- and open-bounded and revocable at any time. Paid tiers add access logs so you can see who opened a link, when, and from where, and revoke a share the moment something looks off.
What happens to my documents if I lose my key or password?

Because the vault is zero-knowledge, the document key is the only way to decrypt your files. If you lose it and have no recovery copy stored with a teammate or in your own key vault, AKRUM cannot recover the documents — that is the security trade-off.
